City Kids

City kids is our wrap around care service.  Some of our nursery staff also look after these children alongside the club’s lead practitioner.

The before school club currently operates from our nursery premises.  This only available to the children of Waterside Primary School.

This includes a healthy nutritional breakfast and drink as follows:-

• Whole grain cereal
• Fruit and raisins
• Toast (brown)
• Drinks – Milk, water and fruit juice

Two members of staff walk the children to school in the morning and wait until they are safely in the building.

The after school club is located at Unit 2, Palmerston Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 3EU which is approximately a few minute’s walk away from the nursery. This unit provides lots more space for children to have fun and play games.

The children are collected from designated areas within school, making sure that everyone is together and safe.  We will also collect your child later in the day if they are attending any Waterside ‘After School’ clubs. 

This session provides tea time snack and drink.

Although this is mainly available to the children of Waterside Primary School, we are happy to receive children from other schools provided they can be dropped off.

This is available to ALL children. The holiday club will be operating from the units at Palmerston Street this summer.  The venue is bright and spacious with lots of room to run around and do physical activities.  

Breakfast and tea time snacks are provided.  You will need to provide a packed lunch or pre-order a lunch.

During the day the children have plenty of opportunity to access fresh air and exercise by playing outsides and going for walks.

Children have plenty of opportunity to experience a wide range of activities and let off steam.

Creative Activities – art and craft activities are available daily.  These activities include drawing, painting, sculpting, junk modelling, cooking etc.   The children also enjoy creating lovely wall displays of their art work. 

We encourage the children to explore and express themselves through art and all children have their own art file and when full, the children can take them home, look back and see how they have progressed.

Physical Activities – there is a wide range of physical activities for the children to enjoy.  These include sports such as football, hockey etc.  The children also enjoy playing with the parachute and creating outdoor dens and playing traditional games like ‘Stuck in the mud’, ‘Farmer, Farmer’, ‘Red Rover’ and ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ to name but a few. 

City kids staff are always finding new exciting and stimulating activities to keep your child/children happy and entertained.  Not all activities are planned as we try to accommodate what the children want to do in the session. 

Overall we hope to provide the children with a happy, fun and positive experience where they can make new friends and feel comfortable.

Before School Session (includes breakfast)

• £9.00 per session (7.30am to 9.00am)

After School Session (includes tea time snack)

• £15.00 per session (3.30pm to 6.00pm)

Full Week 

• £120.00 per week (before and after school)

Holiday Club

During the holidays your child/children will need to bring a packed lunch. 

Half Day Sessions

• £22.00 per session (8.00am to 1.00pm)
• £22.00 per session (1.00pm to 6.00pm)

Full Day Sessions

• £38.00 per day (8.00am to 6.00pm)

Full Week

• £190.00 per week (Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm)

Additional Charges

£9.00 per early start (Early morning 7.30am – 8.00am)

£27.00 insurance (payable at registration and annually after that)
